Apple is a food item harvested from Fruit Trees. You can get apples through beating the tree with a Wooden Mallet or cutting it down with an axe. Apples can be planted in holes to grow new fruit trees.
Apples are tier 1 food for Colonists as they are, or they can be crafted into higher tier food items.
