Cotton Crop is a clothing crop that yields cotton. It can be found wild at the start of a map, but can also be planted for farming. It is grown by planting cottonseed in soil and harvested with a scythe. It takes 3 minutes to fully grow.
If you plant cottonseed in normal soil, a cotton crop will yield 2 raw cotton when harvested. There are several ways to increase this yield:
- Till the soil before planting
- Add water after planting
- Add fertiliser after planting
Each action increases the yield by 1, up to a maximum of 5 raw cotton per crop. The tool used to harvest only affects harvest time, not yield.
If there are ever no cotton fields remaining in the world, one will spawn on a random empty soil tile after 10 seconds.
