Research is a game mechanic that has you invest time and resources to unlock new recipes, structures and functionality. Research is done by adding Wuv (collected from Colonists) to a Research Station. Each research task also requires some start-up material, like a stone or a tool.
As each level unlocks, you will also unlock the respective upgrade for the Research Station.

There are 6 levels of research tasks.
- Level 1 has 6 tasks, of which you need to complete 3 to unlock level 2
- Level 2 has 15 tasks and you need to complete a total of 10 tasks to unlock level 3
- Level 3 has 12 tasks and you need to complete a total of 18 tasks to unlock level 4
- Level 4 has 15 tasks and you need to complete a total of 32 tasks to unlock level 5
- Level 5 has 10 tasks and you need to complete a total of 40 tasks to unlock level 6
- Level 6 has 9 tasks.
